When Vertiv officially discontinued the Geist Watchdog 100, it left many facilities without a reliable, turnkey option for environmental monitoring. In May 2026, Cisco announced the same for the entire Meraki MT sensor line, with a last order date of 10 November 2026 and no replacement product offered.

For years, both product lines served a particular need: simple, dependable temperature and humidity monitoring for server rooms, IDF/MDF closets, small data centers, network closets, and other critical micro-environments. These spaces rarely have dedicated staff on-site, making fast, clear alerts essential.
